Community Drum Circle
with Wendy Valerio, PhD
Join the rhythm at the Community Drum Circle led by Wendy Valerio, PhD, a Music for People graduate who leads community music circles for connection, creativity, and wellness. She is also the founder of USC’s Music Play program, celebrating playful, joyful music making for children of all ages, from in utero to infinity.
During the Paul Mitchell Stage band changeovers (4:15–4:45 PM and 6:00–6:30 PM), festival-goers of all ages are invited to gather, play, and experience the power of rhythm together.
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned percussionist, Dr. Valerio will guide participants through an engaging, hands-on drumming experience.
When the circle is not in session, guests are welcome to stop by and try out the drums on their own.
